Why bother having a journal for fic quotes?
I think the real question is why bother collecting stuff and the answer simply is because we can. I think human beings are obsessed with presserving their own history, so it makes sense that we keep those things that brought us joy at some point in our lifes.
I started collecting quotes pretty much since I started reading many years ago. However, previous to my commonplace book, I had all the quotes scribbled in pieces of paper, blog posts and various random places. When I started commomplacing, fic quotes were something that obviously I had to include.
However, in that endevour of trying to classify what I was collecting I realized that fanfiction quotes were a category big enough to deserve its own space, so I decided to keep a separate notebook for it.
